Well hello there blogworld! It's been a wild week (more on that later).
As I sit here in bed at 11pm, with the creative part of my brain having been shut down since Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules came on-which btw, my crush on Jax totally was wiped out faster than Kim's bottle of wine in Paris. I still can't stand Stassi, but seriously? What a douche. - I'm coming at ya with pics I found scouring the internet...okay, Pinterest to be exact.
It's hard to be able to "have fun" with your nails in a corporate setting, where professionalism is of utmost importance. There are some subtle things, in my opinion, you can do to have fun with your nails, yet still maintain a sense of professionalism.
First...what not to do...ever.
Skeletal nails, colored pencil nails, and flame nails. I'm sorry if this is one of you, but I think all of these are atrocious, regardless of your occupation. (Unless you're a pre-school teacher...then you could probably get away with the colored pencil nails.) If you're looking to get fired or demoted at your job though, by all means, go for one of these looks!
These, however are some of my favorite looks. Especially the bright pinks and nudes for spring!
This is my favorite color to wear in the fall and winter. On my hands AND feet.
Love these, but you would have to use common sense on whether the odd-colored nail would be acceptable in your workplace.
I haven't worn this grey color much, but I am obsessed with it. I may just have to bust out the bottle as we speak...
I personally am a fan of color on your nails. I'll also be the first to admit that it's hard to find time to do my own nails, so a lot of times, they are as natural as they come. But I also hate tips. They scream high school and cheap to me. Which I know they aren't. So no offense to y'all that sport them. They're just not my taste, but power to you if they are yours!
If only I had a shellac fund that lasted year round...

I love the pinks. I typically go with a pale pink, but I love the hot pink nails pictured. I also really love that dark purple nail pictured, even though I probably wouldn't wear it, I love it on other people!

Love these! I love the ombre glitter that is in trend right now but you can never go wrong with a matte grey, I'm wearing it now! Also, I am so glad that I am not the only one with a huge guilty obsession with RHOBH and Vanderpump Rules! I, as well, cannot STAND Stassi so I'm so happy someone shares that opinion!
